PERSONAL PROJECTS
NICK AND REID: HARD COVER
(HOUSTON 48 HOUR PROJECT- BEST DIRECTOR)
Two librarian cops take on their toughest case yet: Tracking down the person who never turned in the world's most overdue library book. With only 48 hours to produce this project, it was non stop hustling to make sure we turn in a quality project to this competition. It's projects like these, being surrounded by talented actors and writers, that make the job of directing and DP'ing easy.
"THE MUGGING" (Best Director-Houston Christian University Film Festival 2019)
A mugger attempts to mug someone for their money, but instead gets a lesson on what it means to be happy and sad. In this surreal set-piece, I had the honor to write, direct, and edit this story which ended up being one of the projects I ruminate with a ton. What if we lived in a world where people took the time to understand each other and stride to be more empathetic? And also, it was fun to create the black-void shots for this one.
SHOPPING KART THEORY
(80,000+ Views)
Inspired by a peculiar post online, our crew set out to create visuals that accompany the question of, "is it morally wrong to not return your shopping kart?" What started as a fun little project turned into a micro-viral video, generating over 80,000 views on YouTube. Definitely not my most ambitious project, but definitely one where it was fun creating visuals for a silly internet post.
